Glare of the Sun ist eine deutsc h-österreichische Post- und Doom-Metal-Band, die 2013 gegründet wurde.
Ihr Stil bewegt sich zwischen Death Doom, Post-Metal, Shoegaze und progres siven Einflüssen und ist
für atmosphärische Klanglandschaften sowie den Wechsel zwischen schweren, düsteren und melodisch-
verträumten Passage n bekannt.
Die Band entstand im oberbayerischen Traunwalchen bei Traunr eut. Seit etwa 2015 besteht die Besetzung
aus Christoph Stopper (Gesang ), Gerald Huber (Gitarre, Gesang), Martin Baumann (Gitarre), Tobias Schwab
(Bass) und Franz Ebert (Schlagzeug).
2017 veröffentlichte die Band ihr Debütalbum Soil, aufgenommen im Studio von Martin Schirenc und
