A lot of different things coexist in th eir music\,\nfrom direct\, snotty hardcore punk to more dissonant post-pun k moments\, beefy\nnoise rock\, and an overall strange atmosphere of demen tia and alienation. The\nband’s name comes from a song from the LOCUST\, w hich makes sense. The record has\nan agitprop feel (even visually)\, and t here are moments that reminded me of\npolitical bands that strove to break down boundaries and used sarcasm and wits\nto get the point across\, like the EX or CCCP\, for instance. Maybe an insane and\nmean version of a noi sier STRAW MAN ARMY? While undeniably interesting\, I cannot\nsay I really enjoyed the clearly thought-out and articulate experience. The tone\nof t he vocals reminds me of black metal somehow\, and it tends to be irritatin g\nwith the erratic and nervous\, versatile songwriting. I recognize the q uality and\nvalue of I.M.A.G.I.N.E. but I am unable to relate to it. The h ooks don’t hook\nme.
