VAST PYRE:

Vast Pyre are an amp-crushing doom metal trio emerged in late 2021 in Eisenach, Germany. What they
may lack in traditional bass they more than make up for in a bleak, crushing vision of doom,
communicated through suffocating walls of sound and dark psychedelia. Leaning into their minimalist,
guitar-driven identity, the band honed their approach and crafted a backline adding depth and low-end
to the guitar, resulting in the raw, sludge-stained sound that is Vast Pyre's signature.
Though informed by drone and noise, the threesome push beyond mere amplifier-worship, injecting
their massive slabs of doom and gloom with catharsis and otherworldly horror. Lyrics are born of
personal despair and inner conflicts, couched in a nightmarish atmosphere of nameless Lovecraftian
dread and intoned by ritualistic vocals.
Since their formation, Vast Pyre have released two albums, 2024's self-titled and 2025's "II | Bleak",
through Italian's underground-force Argonauta Records. Both LPs earned attention to the Stoner/Doom
genre for their innovative and devastating approach.
Their live shows bring their recordings to visceral life and leave sonic marks by evoking earth-shattering
riffs. Crushing festivals such as Burgbrand Open Air and Stoned from the Underground, playing a 2026
European tour with fellow heavies Raging Sloth, and sharing stages with the likes of Eremit, Indian
Nightmare, Grin, Dopelord, and more.

GLARE OF THE SUN:
Glare of the Sun ist eine deutsch-österreichische Post- und Doom-Metal-Band, die 2013 gegründet wurde.
Ihr Stil bewegt sich zwischen Death Doom, Post-Metal, Shoegaze und progressiven Einflüssen und ist
für atmosphärische Klanglandschaften sowie den Wechsel zwischen schweren, düsteren und melodisch-
verträumten Passagen bekannt.
Die Band entstand im oberbayerischen Traunwalchen bei Traunreut. Seit etwa 2015 besteht die Besetzung
aus Christoph Stopper (Gesang), Gerald Huber (Gitarre, Gesang), Martin Baumann (Gitarre), Tobias Schwab
(Bass) und Franz Ebert (Schlagzeug).
2017 veröffentlichte die Band ihr Debütalbum Soil, aufgenommen im Studio von Martin Schirenc und
gemastert von Dan Swanö, das sie in der europäischen Doom- und Post-Metal-Szene etablierte. 2019
folgte das experimentellere Album Theia, dessen Songtitel aus fortlaufenden römischen Zahlen bestehen.
Im September 2024 erschien mit Tal über Lifeforce Records das dritte Studioalbum, das orchestrale
Elemente mit schweren Gitarren verbindet und die Klangpalette der Band erweitert.
Heute gilt Glare of the Sun als Teil der modernen europäischen Post-/Doom-Metal-Szene und ist besonders
für atmosphärische, emotional intensive Kompositionen bekannt.
